One child had brought kannada song this week as weekly song in sunshine. I never liked kannada songs till now. I had listened a limited number of kannada songs, mostly through loudspeakers which scream during festivals or marriages. With my limited exposure, I had formed a belief about not only all kannada songs but, the culture as well.
This time, I liked the song, the tune and the flow. I also “did” something with it as part of the sunshine process – danced on it, tried singing it…Though I could still not understand the meaning of the song, I felt connected to the language. I started liking the language. I enjoyed it a lot. I was wondering with very limited exposure, how I was hating all kannada songs and the culture. Thanks to the child, with a small exposure my perspective towards whole culture changed:).
