What happens when teens are put in charge to lead their life? Visiting and staying at Campus with Aarohi community is a wonderful way for teenagers and their parents to experience self directed learning.
What Aarohi offers is a space, an environment, a culture of open doing and learning. This typically leads to you not only exploring many things but more importantly exploring, knowing and discovering oneself.
You would have an almost infinite choice of things to do. You may explore various interests like music, reading, writing, exploring nature, adventure, playing all kinds of games, drama, dance, electronics, masonry, carpentry, art and the list continues. There is also enough time and space to make friends or be with pets. You may try a hand at art or photography or baking cakes and breads or do barbecue. Get your hands dirty by working in the fields, growing vegetables, maintaining the nursery. Or simply gaze into the skies, into eternity and at times simply do nothing!
Teens lead their life by not only exploring many things but more importantly exploring, knowing and discovering oneself. Add to this the flavor of community living – which is a transformative journey for many of us.
What happens at the Boot Camp?
As a teenager, if you are not sure about your interests then you can get an exposure different interests with the abundance of resources at Aarohi Campus.
If you are keen to focus on any particular interest of yours then this a great opportunity to dive deeper and do some serious work with the help of guides and facilitators.
For a week, you are in charge to lead your life by planning, doing and living your life as per your needs, choices and the freedom to make mistakes.
The boot camp is for teens and families who are:
– Keen to experience self-directed learning by designing, doing and reflecting on your learning each day along with the help of guides, peers and community
– Already doing open learning or homeschooling or unschooling
– In need of guidance to choose their career path
– Interested in Joining Aarohi / CoVersity
Glimpses of Boot Camp
Key Points
- Boot Camp is for teens between 13-21 years. There is no qualification or prerequisite required.
- Please note: visits have to be planned a minimum of one week in advance – please do not book or push us for a visit just a few days before a Monday.
- If you need some clarifications before registering – connect with Kirtika on WhatsApp: 99009-13729
Support Circles
Guides/Facilitators will be around to push and nudge you out of the comfort zone. You will also get ample chance to interact with the current CoVersity cohort (digitally if they are in their internship phase). You can learn about their experiences, exposures and roadmaps at CoVersity. You will also be engaging with learners of different ages from the community as you share the campus and daily chores with them.
Family Participation
It is recommended parents also experience the Aarohi campus, community and open learning. Preferably at least one parent stays for the whole week.
Younger siblings can also join to experience open learning.
All family members experience open learning, the campus, and community as learners themselves while you are engaged with boot camp.

Contribution
Aarohi is a trust and not-for-profit with the sole objective of supporting child-led learning. It works on contribution by various families to cover the costs of its working – especially to cover the cost of families and children who cannot afford learning opportunities and resources. This is why the contribution is indicated in the form of a sliding scale.
Please commit your child’s participation by completing the contribution in advance.
