responsible child

Why is it also important for children to be NOT RESPONSIBLE?

This week we chose to document our week as a Radio Jockey. We started with some prompts around responsibility. Interestingly, we also documented where I chose to not be responsible? Isn’t choosing irresponsibility in a way being responsible 🙂 Don’t we adults also choose to be not responsible on so many aspects of life?

Prompts –

  • Where all was I responsible this week?
  • Where all I chose to be ‘not responsible’ this week?
  • How all did others (friends, parents, mentors, akka/anna, anyone else) help me in being responsible or not responsible?
  • What changes I need to do to become more or less responsible next week?
  • Sing a song that comes to your mind when you think of responsibility?

We prepped on how we would record our audio – looking at the tone, voice modulation, script. We had to decide if we were going to tell a story or sing a song or rap or interview style.

  • Talking points based on prompts
  • Format (story, pointers, song, rap, interview etc)
  • Identify some physical thing as a mic
  • Tone, voice modulation, audio or video recording (mentor phone if no phone)
  • Identify your recording space

The objective was also to assess my speaking skills. Once the recording was over, we had to listen to our audio by closing eyes, using headphones if possible.

Here’s what we documented
