We are often told that we need to learn in order to work. Flip the coin and discover the magic of working to learn which makes the entire experience relevant, practical, contextual and extremely holistic. Get down to actual industry-specific work in order to build industry-relevant skillset. Not sure how to engage with the industry? We will give you a direct hint – think portfolio. - Think beyond internships!!
Different exposures bring in different flavours and varied learnings. Explore volunteering, networking events, travel and keep expanding the list. - Don’t under estimate smaller learnings!!!
This cannot be stressed enough. Often, there is an urgency to take on bigger projects and see value only in them. It is always the fundamentals, which may seem mundane repetitive work everyday, that counts in the long run irrespective of your domain.
