Srijani has been working on perfecting her buttercream recipe and wanted to serve it to bakers for their expert opinion. Read on to know on her experience when nothing worked in her favour and how she coped with it.
I made these cakes yesterday. They turned out beautifully but there is a big back story. I made all 3 buttercreams and then my dad went to buy cakes from a bakery as my oven isn’t back from the repair. But when I tasted the cake it was bitter and I didn’t like it. But it was nice with buttercream so I then completed all 3 types of buttercream preparation. I used 1:1 ratio of Dalda and butter.
But I used 2 different Dalda companies which made lots of difference. American buttercream was not mixed with butter properly. Then with all these stuff happening my mood kinda was off. I dropped a bottle of red colour I messed my dress and hands and I was kinda frustrated cleaning and all. I didn’t wanted to serve the experts this cake so I cancelled the plan. So then I took a break and said I will practice decoration. So this is how it turned out. I am happy with that. I felt I could work more on finishing and colour combos and little bit on doing exactly what I planned.
