How do I lead myself?
This question can be quite daunting and lead to anxiety with the thought that we need to have leadership qualities or a super duper self motivated self, at all times.
At CoVersity, we break this down and we lead in many ways.
I lead myself by
- choosing which domain i am interested in
- experiencing different domains deeply so that I find what really interests me
- choosing and taking up challenges for my own growth
- planning my learning journey
- creating my plans and my roadmap
- finding and doing industry work
- supporting my peers and seeking support from them
- doing work which is meaningful and relevant
- doing daily review and regular reflection of my learning – i call it self assessment
- working closely with my peers, taking feedback, pulling pushing each other
- finding what skills are required in my field and developing them
- seeking mentors from the industry
- building my network of people in my industry
- taking most of my decisions – what, how, when
- being accountable to myself and my plans
- finding clients or organisation who will give me industry work
- taking up relevant internships to learn directly from experts in my domain
- reflecting which areas of my self I need to develop and working on them with my peers
In which areas have you led yourself or child so far?
