We started walking within the campus and began with a question – Why some grass/ plants grow where other plants can’t survive? And then just went for a walk with Rawjeev, during the walk we heard, saw, spoke, touched and tasted…Microclimate, pioneers plants, seeds sticking, succession, herbs, mulch, manure, germinate, shrubs, trees, forests, altering the climate, stable system, large tree dying, vacant patch, sunlight, cycle, weeds, Deweeding, water sucking, young soil, soil formation, sun, rain, broken down, precious resource, millions years, phases, Rocky soil, Sandy soil, layers, loam, coarse, silt, clay, gravity, settle, mix, organic matter, stones, leaf arrangements, simple leaves, compound leaves, leaflets, petiole, Palmet, pinnate, nitrogen fixer, abundant, atmospheric nitrogen, soil nitrogen, bacteria, food, colony, legumes, peanuts, nodules and that’s all!
