I am planning to host some baking workshops and classes here are few thoughts about it<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 workshop that leads to 1 week classes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made a small pitch that I can share with the school principal and vice principal for conducting the baking workshop in there school. I saw 3 shark tank pitches and with that vibe I just wrote mine and took feedback of my 2 grandmas \ud83d\udc75 I would love to have more feedback and any suggestions to make the workshop more interesting and how to price it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good morning. I am Srijani. I have learnt to bake for almost 2 years (I will show pictures, portfolio) As I part of my project I wanted to teach baking. I feel baking is one of a vocational skill which is important to be learnt in this world of food adulterations. Kids like to eat cakes and cookies and when they learn to bake and do it at home that makes it more enriching, enjoyable and healthy. Baking is an amazing way to explore science ( for example heats travels upwards, so do the cupcakes rise above) get exposure in kitchen and baking could be a profession in itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would like to conduct 2 workshops and teach how to bake cupcakes and cookies after the school timings or during any activity period for 1.5-2 hrs. Children can register by paying rs.X to me. I will provide all the materials and ensure safety (one person along with me to monitor the children if necessary), I will have the basic first aid with me in case of emergency. I will also provide recipe cards, science behind baking and make it as fun as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope your school will be the first school in Andhra Pradesh to introduce baking, practical learning and vocational skills for school students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s the benefit for us? \u2013 maybe I can strongly try putting that they will benefit in advertising by sharing real stories if still not satisfied I can give some percentage of the money to them.(I don\u2019t know how much)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Yes! \u2013 share more stuff like : workshop in 1 week of November, I would like to go to each class to share abt my workshop, I would like to invite the mothers also to join in the workshop maybe add me in the what\u2019s app group or I will share a poster please circulate it. Guess whattttt!! I have been visiting lots of schools almost 10 and straight way got rejected and then as a plan B I have changed my approach I reduced the price and gave massive discounts if lots of students come. This time we went to big big international schools as our last hope. We lots of disappointments from all the school which didn\u2019t even let me share my pitch, I finally got 1 school which showed interest and was ready to invest. I am doing a workshop tomorrow for primary school children about 90 students. It\u2019s a 12k project \ud83e\udd73 and sriya and Aarush Kindly joined my team to help me out. Wish me luck \ud83d\udc83\ud83d\udc83 and lots of patience to handle 30 students in 3 batches<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I shared my pitch on Thursday. Had a proper business meeting about logistics and finances with principal, admin head, primary class coordinator and canteen manager. Did the workshop on Saturday I was worried if I will be able to pull this off but this time I planned everything well according to the time line. Good I did that, I have prepared the workshop flow, alternatives etc. I go all the materials, did a little rehearsal and prep few things. It was hectic day preparing things for 3 batches back to back. We reached at 9:30 arranged the tables and all. Started the first batch at 11 and things continued until 3. Sriya was incharge of measuring and starting the prep for next batches simultaneously. Aarush was incharge of videos and photo, of course! And arranging the materials on tables. I was incharge of everything and managing things overall. The teachers also helped me and were very supportive. Children and I also enjoyed it a lot. We also played some games and had a great time. Principal was very happy, we did lot of Coversity advertising, she also offered some projects for sriya and Aarush too! She also encouraged me to do another baking workshop for secondary students. We celebrated it with some kfc chicken, lots of chitchat and called it a day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
