I was wondering what to do and one of my guides suggested I put up a cake stall as it\u2019s the Christmas season. I wanted to give it a try! I was super duper excited and also confused about where to start. It took me some time to get out of that confusion and start doing things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
First I just wrote all the thoughts out on a paper, whatever comes to mind. That was my first step. I shared it with my family and got feedback. I was all geared up to start the hustle for the Christmas stall prep. I talked to different people and bakeries around me to understand the demand for cakes and cookies. Did some market research, got to know market prices and other stuff. I made an assumed menu and I hope my assumptions are correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After a small hustel in the kitchen i made some yummy cookies, cupcakes and biscuits. We tasted each sample and i thought of all these aspects to judge that this is worth selling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had a small meet with Nivi aunty she helped me with how to do market research, pricing and other business aspects. I also did a activity with Rekha aunty to help me understand the purpose and be mentally prepared for everything, it really helped me a lot personally. Along with my dad i went to a search for a place to put my stall. after 3 days of searching we found a exhibition, where i had to pay some amount to set it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Never thought i will be able to manage to produce lot of product all the 3 days. It was 6-10 hrs of work each day. we had lots of fun. My family helped me so much, each on of us had different works, we were cracking jokes, laughing out loud, singing songs, yelling and enjoyed everything. It was mix of all emotions. I felt my mom really mean it when she said \u201cput in all your efforts and things will fall in place by the end of the day\u201d it make so much sense. When i had this plan, i had no clue where to put the stall, how to price a product and so on. Eventually i was able to figure out most of them. I made about 100 cupcakes, 120 butter cookies and 50 Choco chip cookies, i have changed according to the market demand each day. And all of them were sold in just 2 hrs, the crowd was continually coming, we didn\u2019t had a chance to relax. Hurry to my sister who helped and stood beside me through out. I was very happy with the customers feedback, most of them loved it, i had lot of repeated customers. Most of them were very encouraging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Such an amazing experience, yar! My face was lit up the whole time. The way we managed everything was smoother and upgrading ourselves and making on spot stratagies and desions. We had a huge number of customers. A few of them were very happy and surprised with the way we were working. One lady even waited until we served the crowd and then came to us just to appreciate and wish us luck. I felt so grateful. A few of them even took my contact details to place more orders. I was not able to complete all the baking by 5pm, so we only took 3\/4 of the production. Later, my mom checked the oven and sent the rest. Time just flew. Setting up a stall in an exhibition is actually a great idea since the crowd is already gathered. It would have been a completely different experience if I had to gather and attract the crowd. After lots of hard work my 3 day stall is done! I filled my heart with joy, mind with learning, and pocket with some money.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
