Power of community: Never lets youslack

I joined Aarohi-x looking for an outlet, a hobby, a diversion from the bleak news around. I didn’t expect much; as long as there are people and voices that I can hear beyond my four walls, that would do. It’s been a month now. And I’ve heard more than people and voices.
I’ve heard peoplebrainstormingart, innovation, history, music, photography, planning, reflection, parenting…phew!
I’ve heard anorminggroup coming together guided by harmony, setting rules of conduct, focussing on pressure-free results for everyone.
I’ve heard aperforming communityof klubs and impromptu relationships that hardly ‘slacks’. Whether it’s a madhubani art work, or a stop motion video, or a math puzzle, or a science experiment, or the popular haikus…this is a beehive! This week for instance, there are 39 planned events and klub meetings,y’all. Add to it the impromptu collabs (as we stylishly call it!) and friendships that we make happen by reaching out to each other personally.
My tween daughter found a favorite aunt who reads aloud to her every week and sends lovely illustrations. My teen daughter found old and new friends to connect with and talk abt her day, which means everything to us.
I’ve found amazing listeners who value my eccentric experiences and see some kinda quirky wisdom in it.
I’ve heard severalseveralnuggets of gold listening to the facilitators handle the sessions, backstage and onstage, their teachings on facilitation and parenting (see my previous post)
.And if you think these Aarohi-x guys are all softies, think againy’all. After completing a month of operations, the facilitators took the bull by the horns calling for an open review about all their processes, meetings, & klubs. And people said stuff. Good, bad, and the ugly. Without batting an eye, the facilitators took on practically every darned feedback and I was floored. That’s what they call community ownership,

I guess. This is still the tip of the iceberg. This is just the Aarohi-x online slack community and the opening and closing circle meetings I’m talking of. (And yes throw in a coupla more meetings called the multiplexes.). Can you believe I’m not even part of any regular Aarohi-x klub yet and I’m already so energized and grateful?
That’s awkward right? Like, I’m some kinda visitor, checking in once in awhile. But you know, these guys have this covered too. They have theselovelynames for different levels of engagement. So a person like me who explores hops from flower to flower, lives in thechillzone. And they have thedrill, grill and pillzones too for more intense engagers. But one thing’s for sure… Aarohi-x is theno-frills zoney’all!
