Knowing how does things, which we use daily, are made, makes a huge difference in understanding our environment. We hear lot of buzz about how things are harmful for us (like plastic) but we are very less aware how they are made. I guess first we need to know how things are made to take decision to discard them at a later stage, if require.
Making plastic threads from raw plastic is very fascinating process. It allows one to experience the process of elasticity, friction, role of water, sponge, heat and cold process, importance of stretching….and many more. At the same time knowing how plastic threads are made and where all they are used was fascinating. Now where we see plastic thread, it allows us to recollect ‘how it is made’.
