Where does our milk come from? How does a milkman work? What is their life? What is a cow’s life…were some of the questions in our minds before our visit?

A visit to our anna who brings milk for us brought many other questions – why the calf is not drinking? What happens to the male cow? Why the baby isn’t around? Why injection to get pregnant? Do you take her for a walk? How much milk in a day? What else? What do they eat? Everyday milk is produced? What after you, who will milk the cow? When does a cow give birth to the baby? Only 15 yrs old and already giving milk? Why we got used to milk? Isn’t it cruel? What are Jersey and Desi cow? Why milking only in this hut why not outside? How are the milk products made in a factory? And…

We were late to reach the milk collection center – lost an opportunity to know further about the milk chain. But got many other learnings…Be more conscious of time, take initiative for the group to reach in time, take action, be aware that this event was time bound, find more info in advance and so on!
