Mirror and Learning

in a span of 15 minutes, with zero instructions other than “HANDLE WITH CARE” note, children came up with so many different usage of mirror was a new experience for me. The excitement, strategies, discussion, group involvement and thoughts were amazing and i enjoyed being a child along with them, learning from them, and being with them in the whole process.
This week children explored mirrors as part of welcome. They all made their reflection of lights and later all together made spot lights and one trying to spot whose mirror light is moving around like a game. We explored passing Light through Mirror, glass and CD’s.
We made multiple images, different formation of light growing bigger, smaller, refracted light through glass. Spot lights from focusing on different objects, Spying each other from mirror, spotting light on mirror to mirror from various distance and angles.
