Aarohi ki Dukan is a market space to promote Aarohi community members to sell their own handmade products. It is to encourage learning in entrepreneurship and business.
Swayam exhibition was an occasion to participate and sell products – Some were making the product in advance, for some, it brought an opportunity to start making the products. This also bought an opportunity to discover self – One child set high goals for self, initially apprehensive even disappointed, tired of making. But then pulled self, rearranged thoughts, tried once again and started making products – as made few, got confidence in self. The other child just wanted to earn money, one partnered, while the other worked all alone.
Product costing brought another opportunity to explore self – One did not know to cost, started adding, and realized that even the cost of stapler pin is important, taking the help of other people – peer to peer learning was exchanged effortlessly.
Some made profiles of themselves and felt good about self with their efforts. Some discovered new skills in themselves, some used the old skills, some avoided in the beginning but finally made it, some did not make it at all, some did not want to share details with others. Most did not want the full details of themselves, some were excited to write about self.
Selling happened
Some earned money by selling different products.
Making happened
Some earned experience by making different products.
Some will leave making and selling, as they will switch to other interests,
Some will continue, as they go deeper in the same experience,
What matters is how much each one discovered self?
And life goes on with different experiences.
