Hmm… campus care – a platform to contribute – A social responsibility for the campus – Resource, Campus and Kitchen team – rotate team, rotate work do every chore in the campus. But what it does to me – does it adds value to me or to the campus was the question we pondered. Sometimes our contributions look very small and insignificant – but If we zoom out and look at the larger picture, we may realize that EACH contribution is valuable!
Helped others, multitasking. I added more colors in the environment, Kannada writing, created environment, took choices, survey taking helped to get new recipes,
Bathroom cleaning – Breaking the belief that bathroom cleaning is dirty, Pets care, watering plants, food to pets is care for them, brushing and cleaning, water to them, clean pets.
Mudhouse, Brooming, Books sorting, got to know resources, organized books, easy to access the tools.
Sports cabin, brooming, fill the air in the balls, got cleaned areas, you get the balls whenever you need,
Wooden library tags, repaired swings, set up speakers, carpentry was the gain, got to learn to use tools and material, creative thinking,
Set up snacks, got familiar with the kitchen, guiding others
Where else we need a stand, new stand in place, helping to understand the working of the kitchen, easier to get
Imagine Aarohi, where the community is how we live, how we learn. Everybody is equal, a peer, a learner, a teacher,a guide and a support. Everybody participates in the working of community – everybody is responsible for self as well as the community. Keywords for the community to thrive is equity and co-living.
